Headwater Holidays (part of Travelopia) specialises in self-guided active holidays, we offer travellers the freedom to explore Europe and beyond at their own pace. With over 40 years of experience, we provide exceptional itineraries that immerse our customers in authentic local cultures and landscapes. We are seeking a Navigation & Product Support Executive to join our friendly and collaborative team. Reporting to the Navigation Team Leader, you will play a key role in developing, improving, and validating walking and cycling routes using our navigation app. You will work alongside Product Managers to ensure our routes are safe, accessible, and provide clear guidance for our travellers. Your work will directly enhance the customer experience and support our Net Promoter Score (NPS) goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create, refine, and validate walking and cycling routes using Headwater’s Navigation App, both within the system and through field testing where needed
  • Write clear, friendly directional cues to guide travellers, ensuring instructions are easy to follow and accessible to all
  • Continuously improve the navigation experience by reviewing customer feedback and implementing changes that enhance safety and satisfaction
  • Identify and communicate any hazards, ensuring activity levels are accurately assigned for each route
  • Maintain and update the Navigation App content management system, including route documentation and accommodation options
  • Ensure all pre-departure customer documents are accurate, up-to-date, and delivered on time, including tailored documentation for specific holidays or customer needs
  • Embrace new technologies and suggest improvements to processes, information, and trips for the benefit of our guests and the company
  • Support the Product team with research and validation for new route development
  • Collaborate with the Navigation App Account Manager to ensure Headwater’s needs are met efficiently
  • Assist the Product and Marketing teams with information for marketing materials, offers, online activities, and app-related content
  • Produce maps and elevation profiles to help travellers prepare for their journeys
  • Contribute to other projects or tasks as needed, including seasonal assignments in other departments

Requirements:

  • Creative problem-solving skills and a fresh approach to writing clear instructions
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong organisational skills for managing daily workloads
  • Knowledge of geography and travel is an advantage, but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for learning new skills
  • Experience using GPS navigation software to create, check, and follow routes, especially via smartphone apps
  • Interest in outdoor activities and regular use of GPS applications
  • Customer-focused mindset, aiming to deliver outstanding experiences
  • Comfort with IT systems, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
