Job Description:

Susquehanna International Group, LLP is currently searching for a Natural Gas Analyst to help strengthen our trading expertise in the North American energy markets. This position will partner directly with our energy traders to drive actionable trading strategies. The successful candidate will be a demonstrated problem solver capable of working with large data sets and analytical software to arrive at relevant commercial solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform fundamental analyses of the natural gas markets
  • Run simulation models to generate trade ideas for the North American markets
  • Partner directly with energy traders to drive actionable trading strategies
  • Work with large data sets and analytical software to arrive at relevant commercial solutions

Requirements:

  • Experience with the physical modeling of natural gas markets
  • Strong database, spreadsheet and programming skills (Python and Tableau preferred)
  • Familiarity with North American natural gas and electricity markets
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and present ideas and data in a clear, concise manner

  • e) negotiation and recommendations for power purchase agreements
  • Provide energy market direction and advice for North American clients including advice for structuring of energy products, timing and structure for physical energy hedges, purchase of green-e or state RPS compliant RECs, and other related energy supply transaction requirements
  • Development of relationships of decision-makers within existing client’s organization
  • Strong understanding of the regional structure for power pricing and costs within different RTOs in North America
  • Strong understanding for pipeline gas nominations, pipeline tariffs and regional differences for daily or monthly balancing of LDCs
