Job Description:

Yusen Logistics is looking for an experienced National Security Manager to be based either at our site in Northampton (NN7 2FR) or Derby (DE65 6BG). This position involves remote work for 2 days per week with travel to key Yusen sites across the UK. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a vital role in driving and improving the organisation’s security strategy to protect both Yusen Logistics and our customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve physical security, asset protection, and loss prevention frameworks across warehousing and transport operations
  • Lead risk assessments and audits across multiple sites and functions, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers and carriers to ensure everyone is aligned with security processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations such as ISO 28000, 27001, TAPA, and CAA
  • Developing, reviewing and updating security controls, including performance reporting, technology, processes, training, and plans
  • Providing real-time support, leading the organisation’s response to security incidents and investigations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in physical security or loss prevention role, ideally within a logistics (or similar) environment
  • Demonstrable experience developing and implementing security strategies, projects and performance metrics
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and process-driven
  • Good knowledge of security systems is advantageous
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK
