Job Description:

Yusen Logistics is looking for an experienced National Security Manager to be based either at our site in Northampton or Derby. This position involves remote work for 2 days per week with travel to key Yusen sites across the UK. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a vital role in driving and improving the organisation’s security strategy to protect both Yusen Logistics and our customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve physical security, asset protection, and loss prevention frameworks across warehousing and transport operations
  • Lead risk assessments and audits across multiple sites and functions, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers and carriers to ensure everyone is aligned with security processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations such as ISO 28000, 27001, TAPA, and CAA
  • Developing, reviewing and updating security controls, including performance reporting, technology, processes, training, and plans
  • Providing real-time support, leading the organisation’s response to security incidents and investigations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in physical security or loss prevention role, ideally within a logistics (or similar) environment
  • Demonstrable experience developing and implementing security strategies, projects and performance metrics
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and process-driven
  • Good knowledge of security systems is advantageous
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK
