The National Sales Manager in the Commercial department is responsible for overseeing and driving the sales operations across the country. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing the national sales team, and ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded. The National Sales Manager works closely with other departments to align sales efforts with overall business objectives, identifies new market opportunities, and maintains strong relationships with key clients to maximize revenue and market share.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies
Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
Review expenses and recommend improvements
Report on regional sales results
Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Train and coach sales team members
Conduct regular performance reviews
Develop and manage sales operating budgets
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads
Collaborate with the finance department to develop pricing strategies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
5+ years’ experience in sales management, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry
Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Executive) is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Experience in managing a sales team and developing talent
