National Sales Manager Ukraine

Job Description

As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Development and maintenance of relationships with distributors in the cluster: conducting negotiations, supporting the selection process, auditing and verification, contract management
  • Cooperation with external stakeholders, including national and regional authorities (Ministry of Health of Ukraine, local health authorities, state institutions)
  • Management of product orders. Preparation of recommendations on the volume of orders
  • Control the stock of the product in distributors' warehouses to ensure market demand
  • Implementation of monthly/quarterly/annual sales plan
  • Ensuring a continuous planning process, including the formation of monthly and annual sales forecasts for each product to ensure product access for customers
  • Interaction with planning and logistics departments to ensure the availability of products in accordance with orders
  • Control and management of regional tenders in Ukraine
  • Interaction with purchasing organizations of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and ensuring the company's participation in announced tenders, including preparation of documentation, price offers, execution and signing of contracts based on tender results, placing an order for product production
  • Management of the discount/bonus model
  • Formation of a sales base “sales out” based on distributors' reports by region, sales analysis
  • Registration/declaration of prices in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine
  • Manage the development and implementation of plans for product promotion in the territory in accordance with the global business strategy and marketing plans
  • Manage and develop Sales Team through effective recruitment and hiring, planning the organizational structure of the team, its development and provision with the necessary resources and equipment
  • Ensure that the subordinate sales team focuses on clearly set goals, defined together with the marketing team, in order to implement an effective product promotion campaign

Requirements

  • Higher specialized education (pharmaceutical, medical, business)
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/medical business: at least 5 years
  • Experience in a managerial position: at least 3 years
  • Experience in sales and management (commercial activities)
  • Experience in development the regional plans, tender documentation, building a hospital chain of clients
  • Knowledge of the specifics of working with budget purchases in Ukraine and retail sales of medicines or medical devices
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of building, developing and motivating a team
  • Skills in setting goals, monitoring activities, assessing employee performance
  • Proficiency in the technique of conducting individual visits and sales skills, setting SMART goals
  • Experience in building effective communication with distributors
  • English language skills (at least C1 level)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Skills in organizing your own workflow, managing time and activities in the region
  • Ability to independently search for solutions to the tasks set by the direct supervisor
  • Analytical skills
