Job Responsibility:
Apply foundational nursing knowledge to assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform vital clinical procedures, and meticulously document patient care, always prioritizing safety and therapeutic communication
Actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds, continuing education sessions, and simulation training, building clinical judgment and critical thinking skills in diverse patient care settings
Leverage academic preparation and an eager willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a structured residency framework
Engage proactively with preceptors and mentors, seeking feedback and applying new knowledge to real-world patient scenarios
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
zero to twelve (0-12) months of professional nursing (RN) experience
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State in which s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
BLS certification - American Heart Association
Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided
Ability to: Deliver excellence in patient care through assessing, formulating nursing diagnoses and establishing goals, planning and implementing intervention, and evaluating patient care outcomes
Read, analyze, and interpret hospital policies and procedures, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Write reports and procedures, and document in the medical record
Effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, patients, physicians, family members and the general public
Calculate figures and amounts such as weights, dosages, flow rates, proportions, percentages and volume
Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Critically think and problem solve
Read, write and speak English
Must meet the requirements of the year long program, including preparation work and class attendance
Must remain in a full-time position for the entirety of the year long program
Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts including holidays
