Job Description

Under the overall supervision of the Director of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe and the direct supervision of the Head of Sarajevo Antenna, the incumbent provides support with coordination and management of projects and activities related to the Culture sector as well as activities related to monitoring and evaluation, including statistical and administrative frameworks in relation to 2030 Agenda.

Job Responsibility

  • Support development and implementation of UNESCO cultural programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina and other Member States
  • Support timely, efficient and effective management of projects and implementation of planned activities
  • Facilitate effective communication and ensure visibility of project results
  • Prepare public information products
  • Draft correspondence, presentations, speeches, web releases, and other outreach materials
  • Speak/participate in national and international conferences and events

Requirements

  • Advanced University degree (Master's or equivalent) in cultural studies, media studies, management, international relations, communication, or related fields of social and human sciences
  • OR First-level University degree (BA) combined with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in international cultural cooperation including multi-partner project implementation/management
  • Good knowledge of culture and cultural cooperation in South-East Europe, particularly Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Demonstrated experience in project development and management in an international environment
  • Advanced IT skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing communication strategies and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multicultural teams
  • Familiarity with UNESCO's mandate and programme
  • Knowledge of UNESCO 2030 Indicator methodology
  • Capacity to produce quality written outputs
  • Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)

Nice to have

  • Experience in working for or with national/international development cooperation agencies
  • Previous professional experience in UNESCO, United Nations System, or other international organization
  • Experience in complex multi-partner and multi-beneficiary projects
  • Experience in EU-funded projects
  • Proficiency in other official languages of UNESCO (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish)
