Job Description:

A CommonSpirit Health Nurse Resident is a new graduate direct clinical care registered nurse (RN) who continues to develop nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors introduced in formal education as they transition into practice. Medical Surgical Telemetry 2 South department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Demonstrate appropriate competency in both core and functional areas
  • Progression is expected in the areas of leading through mission vision and values, patient/customer focus, taking ownership, health care knowledge, teamwork, clinical performance improvement, service excellence, decision making and critical thinking, and patient safety

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience
  • Must meet the requirements of the year long program, including preparation work and class attendance
  • Must remain in a full-time position for the entirety of the year long program
  • Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts including holidays
  • Must agree to terms and conditions of the program
  • Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State in which s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
  • BLS certification - American Heart Association
  • Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided
