Job Description:

A CommonSpirit Health Nurse Resident is a new graduate direct clinical care registered nurse (RN) who continues to develop nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors introduced in formal education as they transition into practice. Role in Medical Surgical Telemetry 2 South department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Demonstrate competency in core and functional areas
  • Progression in leading through mission vision and values, patient/customer focus, taking ownership, health care knowledge, teamwork, clinical performance improvement, service excellence, decision making and critical thinking, and patient safety

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience
  • Must meet the requirements of the year long program, including preparation work and class attendance
  • Must remain in a full-time position for the entirety of the year long program
  • Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts including holidays
  • Must agree to terms and conditions of the program
  • Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State in which s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
  • BLS certification - American Heart Association
