We are seeking an experienced Injury Management Advisor (IMA) for a 3-6 month contract. Reporting to the Group Injury Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of workers' compensation claims and the delivery of proactive return-to-work (RTW) outcomes at a national level.
Job Responsibility:
End-to-End Case Management: Manage a national portfolio of Workers’ Compensation claims across multiple Australian jurisdictions (NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, etc.)
Operational RTW: Develop and implement tailored return-to-work plans, ensuring a focus on early intervention and sustainable outcomes
Complex Claims Specialist: Directly manage a varied caseload, including complex physical injuries, psychological claims, and Income Protection
Legislative Compliance: Ensure all case documentation and outcomes comply with state-specific legislations (iCare, WorkSafe, etc.)
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for medical practitioners, insurers, and site-based operational leaders.
Requirements:
Hands-on Experience: Proven track record in an operational injury management role within a large employer (Construction, Mining, or Industrial sectors preferred)
Multi-Jurisdictional Expertise: Solid understanding of workers' compensation legislation across various Australian states
Allied Health Background: A qualification in Physio, Occupational Therapy, or a related field is highly regarded
Immediate Impact: Ability to hit the ground running and manage an active caseload from day one
Communication: Ability to influence recovery outcomes through clear communication with both workers and management
Tertiary qualification in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation) or HR
