Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts to expand the customer base
Serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing accounts
Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and prospect new accounts in the food service sector
Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue growth from national accounts
Develop and execute account retention strategies to ensure long-term customer loyalty
Proactively address any issues or concerns raised by accounts to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute sales strategies for national accounts
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
Monitor and report on account performance, including sales growth, retention rates, and customer satisfaction
Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and strategy adjustments
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts and performance metrics to senior staff members
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery to national accounts
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align on account strategies and objectives
Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the food service industry, with a focus on national accounts
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large accounts
Strong understanding of the food service industry, including market trends and competitive landscape
Experience with National Broadline distribution preferred
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
General understanding of commodity markets, and trading futures
