Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts to expand the customer base
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing accounts
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and prospect new accounts in the food service sector
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue growth from national accounts
  • Develop and execute account retention strategies to ensure long-term customer loyalty
  • Proactively address any issues or concerns raised by accounts to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute sales strategies for national accounts
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
  • Monitor and report on account performance, including sales growth, retention rates, and customer satisfaction
  • Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and strategy adjustments
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts and performance metrics to senior staff members
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery to national accounts
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align on account strategies and objectives
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the food service industry, with a focus on national accounts
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large accounts
  • Strong understanding of the food service industry, including market trends and competitive landscape
  • Experience with National Broadline distribution preferred
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • General understanding of commodity markets, and trading futures
