As National Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for the overall financial stewardship and performance of the Trinidad & Tobago business, while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and governance requirements of a listed company. You will work in close partnership with the Managing Director and regional finance teams to support business performance, strengthen the control environment, and ensure high-quality financial reporting.
Job Responsibility
Responsible for all financial accounting and statutory reporting for the publicly traded entity
Reporting to the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors, inclusive of the Year-End financial statement audit
Responsible for local Tax compliance and reporting with support from regional partners
Responsible for management of all internal and external audits including ensuring compliance, resolution of corrective actions and improvement points in a timely manner
Responsible for risk management and operationalization of the control framework
Business partner to the country Managing Director in all financial and controlling matters
Development and delivery of the business plan for T&T
Responsibility for budget control and ensuring effective return on investment spend, and the delivery of financial performance targets
Reviewing channel, category, and brand performance for the country, aligning investments, and performance to the overall business strategy, ensuring the company is winning in the right strategic places
Develop NRM initiatives to drive profit improvements for the business, leveraging all the different stakeholders to achieve the desired improvements across the NRM levers
Play an active role in identifying and driving areas for change in the business and within finance
Drive cost savings agenda for the business, with support from regional partners
Working capital management and foreign currency management
Responsible for the development of the local finance team
Leading, training and coaching staff
Requirements
Four to Six years of experience in financial management or accounting
Qualified accountant – ACCA qualified or equivalent professional accounting designation
At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or management
Strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and business partnering skills
Proven ability to innovate and manage change
Experience with forecasting and budget controlling
