In the food and grocery sector, the business supports a network of over 1,600 independently owned stores across Australia. They act as a wholesale distributor for dry grocery and fresh foods to these independent supermarkets and convenience stores. The company is a key player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) retail environment and industry. The purpose of this role is to provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Events team. The successful candidate will assist with the coordination and administration of various company, supplier, and retailer events.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting with the administrative requirements for all events
Overseeing travel and accommodation arrangements for events
Managing data and spreadsheets for reporting and analysis
Helping to manage communications and events portals, including handling emails and prioritizing action items for the team
Assisting in the coordination of the business's events and communications calendar
Providing support for on-site event execution as needed
Handling other ad hoc administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Events
Strong experience in a similar administrative role, supporting a small events team
A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including experience with mail merge, spreadsheets, and event registration programs
Very high level of accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to multitask a number of projects and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
