The role of the of National Engagement Lead – Ultra Rare Diseases is a critical role in Ultra Rare Diseases, bridging cutting-edge science with strategic account leadership. A field based role which builds partnerships with national and local External Experts (EEs) to improve patient outcomes and enhance the availability and utilisation of Norgine products through collaboration, education, and scientific exchange. The role acts as both a scientific resource and a strategic account leader delivering high-level medical education to healthcare professionals (HCPs), whilst driving customised access and advocacy solutions with key institutional accounts.
Job Responsibility:
Lead ROC Insight to Action process to focus insight gathering activity
Act as a strategic business partner, accountable for communicating actionable insight
Cross-functional collaboration with global colleagues, the local ROC leadership team, and colleagues in other countries
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities
In all activities comply with local legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements
Using meticulous planning to schedule distinctly separate promotional, commercial and non-promotional activities
Develop an in-depth understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, patient journey, and treatment pathways to formulate comprehensive account plans
Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
Perform thorough market analyses
Design and implement detailed strategies aligned with overarching business goals
Lead the development and execution of services that facilitate the integration of Norgine’s products into local healthcare systems
Partner with HCPs to refine patient pathways and treatment protocols
Collaborate across functions to coordinate market strategies, key account management, and customer engagement
Execute sales and marketing strategies and integrated programs/tactics
Through peer-to-peer two-way scientific exchange, this role will focus on understanding the current treatment options and patient expectations
Provide accurate, non-promotional scientific information relating to unlicensed products and indications following unsolicited requests from HCPs
Provide accurate, non-promotional information to patient advocacy groups
Provide accurate, scientific information relating to licensed products and indications following solicited or unsolicited requests from HCPs
To provide information to HCPs regarding recent developments, clinical data, and treatment approaches in the therapy area
To collect insights on clinical practice, unmet needs, and patient outcomes
To enhance evidence-based medicine and facilitate collaboration in clinical research or real-world data projects
Answer medical/technical enquiries from HCPs
Identify and track potential research opportunities
Liaise between potential researchers and the company on ISTs (Investigator Sponsored Trials) submission
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field
Experience working in Rare Diseases, especially with launching new products, with close knowledge of the workings of both Medical and Commercial field teams is preferred
Strong scientific communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficiency in CRM systems and data analysis tools
In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards with the ability to navigate complex compliance frameworks
