Job Description

This is a remote position with a preference for candidates living in or proximal to New York City. The newly created position of National Director, Major Gifts (National Director) will be central to building out a sophisticated individual major gifts program. The ideal candidate is a skilled fundraiser with a track record of engaging high-net-worth individuals, experience cultivating and closing five and six-figure gifts, and a passion for building a strong community of donors and volunteer leaders who power transformational social change.

Job Responsibility

  • Building, launching, and growing Repair’s new major gifts program and corresponding strategies
  • Cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of high-capacity individual donors
  • Securing major gifts of $10,000–$100,000+ to sustain and scale organizational impact
  • Partnering with and activating lay leaders, including major gift program chairs and vice chairs, to deepen donor relationships, broaden networks, and inspire a culture of philanthropy
  • Reporting to the Senior Director of Development
  • Collaborating regularly with the CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, and other senior leaders
  • Engaging with members of the Board of Directors to align strategies, share insights, and advance organizational priorities

Requirements
