As a National Account Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for At Work, Education, Transportation and Health (AWETH) trade channels. You will be the key single point of contact for your Key Accounts, devising and delivering on strategic initiatives including management of our full '24/7' portfolio. You will collaborate with internal functions and market insights to achieve customer and P&L success. Through your role you will be required to support delivery of sales execution plans. You will report directly to the Channel Director.
Job Responsibility:
P&L Ownership & Management of respective Key Accounts to Gross Profit level
Deliver year on year improvements to your customer satisfaction score via the annual OP&K survey
Management of customer price lists and any pricing negotiations
Proactive management and overall accountability for the customer accounts receivable process
Work cross functionally with Marketing, Commercial Excellence and Field Sales to build and understand Key Account plans
Fully accountable for the agreement, management, and delivery of your Key Account joint business plans (JBP’s)
Sell commercial plans in line with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) guidelines
Exploitation of Invest promotional management tool and SAP to deliver account profitability
Utilisation of customer sales data to provide insights, trends, and financial opportunities both internally and externally through promotional management
Manage your Key Accounts via a total outlet lens which looks at the total business opportunity and not just price & promo
Execute and implement all channel strategies and plans to succeed through the sales team
Manage the delivery of regional channel KBI’s through the sales team
Gain customer commitment to our programs and initiatives to deliver joint value creation
Ensure compliance with company CSR and commercial policies
Stretch your growth and development by participating in Key Cross Functional Business Projects
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience within a FMCG sales role with a successful performance record
Direct experience managing a Key Account customer base
Professional manner - articulate with excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
Be obsessively curious to understand the needs of the customer
Results orientated, output driven, tenacious and resilient, can-do attitude with a strong desire to make things happen, entrepreneurial and self- motivating
Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills
IT literate with proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint and a working knowledge of SAP
Full, unrestricted driving licence
Nice to have:
Educational qualification to third level in a business’ related discipline
Experience of Managing Key Accounts in a Fully SAP integrated environment
Proven track record in a management role (min 3 years) – preferably in Key Accounts, Field Sales or Marketing
