Join Sugar Australia & Wilmar Ingredients as a National Account Manager based at our Yarraville VIC head office. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for someone with strong B2B account management experience in the food & beverage or manufacturing sectors, who enjoys building lasting customer relationships while delivering strong commercial outcomes. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a diverse customer portfolio and driving retention, growth, and new business development across Sugar Australia, Wilmar Ingredients and Goodman Fielder ingredients.
Job Responsibility
Managing a portfolio of national and strategic customer accounts to retain and grow revenue profitably
Working with us to develop and implement customer and product plans aligned to budgeted sales and margin targets
Identifying and converting new business opportunities across food, beverage, cosmetic and pharmaceutical markets
Actively managing pricing, margins and contracts to support sustainable commercial outcomes
Sharing accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence to support commercial business decisions
Building strong relationships with customer stakeholders across purchasing, R&D, and production
Keeping all customer activity, pricing and contracts accurate and up to date in Salesforce and SAP
Partnering with logistics, supply chain and quality teams to ensure continuity of supply and timely issue resolution
Representing the business at relevant industry meetings, trade associations and conferences
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline with demonstrated Key Account Management experience
3+ years’ experience in B2B sales within the Australian food, beverage or manufacturing sectors
A proven ability to win new business and profitably grow existing accounts
Experience managing direct customer relationships and complex pricing arrangements
Confidence using CRM systems such as Salesforce and ERP platforms such as SAP
Experience supporting NPD, innovation, or market development with customers
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers and internal stakeholders
A solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
A collaborative style and commitment to working as part of a national and cross-business team
