ASC Engineered Solutions is looking for a National Account Manager (NAM) – Fire Protection who will manage a defined portfolio of ASC’s National Fire Distribution Accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for our Fire team. This role is responsible for crafting and executing growth strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals, and maximizing sales opportunities through various channels of engagement. The ideal candidate is skilled at building strong relationships, understanding national distribution, analyzing market dynamics, and driving results through collaboration and strategic planning.

Job Responsibility:

  • Account Management: Strategic lead between ASC Engineered Solutions and assigned fire distributors, ensuring clear and consistent communication, strategy development, implementation, and execution
  • Develop deep understanding of each distributor's business model, performance metrics, market position, and growth opportunities
  • Manage Customer Data Files – Collaborate internally to complete requests in a timely manner for product information, images, pricing, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at distributor organizations – corporate and field sales
  • Communicate opportunities throughout ASC and with distribution partners, holding stakeholders accountable for delivering on the growth activity initiatives
  • Growth Strategy Development: Design and implement customized growth strategies tailored to each distributor’s core customer, unique needs and market conditions
  • Identify opportunities for product expansion, increased market penetration, and revenue growth within the distributor channel
  • Collaborate with distributors to create joint business plans that outline objectives, key initiatives, implementation, field activation, and success metrics
  • Coordinate trade shows and field activation activities to drive brand awareness and sales pull-through with your key customers
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze sales data, market trends, and distributor performance to identify areas of improvement and success
  • Provide regular performance updates and actionable insights to both internal teams, rep agencies, and distributor partners to drive action
  • Forecast sales and track progress against growth targets
  • Review and manage account programming to deliver profitable account revenue
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with internal sales, rep agencies, customer service, marketing, and product teams to ensure distributor needs are met and aligned with company objectives
  • Support distributors with training, marketing resources, and tools to drive their success
  • Resolve issues and address challenges proactively to maintain strong relationships and achieve mutual goals
  • Responsible for Supply Chain collaborative planning & forecasting process
  • Market Analysis & Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide strategic guidance to distributors
  • Share market insights with internal teams to influence product development and overall strategy
  • Understand market pricing and where ASC is positioned with each customer in regard to market and competition.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • MBA preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in the fire industry, sales, and business development, preferably with distribution management experience
