A fast-growing, award-winning food manufacturer is looking to add a National Account Executive to its commercial team. Operating globally, this business supplies a broad range of ambient food products to major UK retailers and foodservice customers under both own label and branded lines. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid commercial experience to step into a broad account management role. You'll support and grow key retail and non-retail accounts, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibility:
Day-to-day management of both retail and non-retail customer accounts
Identify and secure new business opportunities and product listings
Build strong working relationships across customer buying, supply, and NPD teams
Collaborate with internal procurement to maximise sourcing opportunities
Proactively manage stock levels and supply issues with internal teams
Deliver insight-led presentations
Track sales performance and manage contract balances
Requirements:
2:1 degree (or above) in a relevant business subject
At least 3 years' experience in account management, ideally within food or FMCG
Previous exposure to UK retail customers and own label preferred but not essential
Strong communicator with excellent influencing and negotiation skills
Organised, commercially driven, and confident working cross-functionally
Strong IT skills, especially Excel and data tools
