Job Description

A professional family in Como, WA are seeking a an experienced and kind nanny to assist in the care of their 2 boys (Aged 6 and 8yrs). The normal days are: 4 days per week -18 hours per week: Mon, Thurs, Fri (Spilt shift 7am – 9am and 3pm- 6pm); Wed 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. An ideal nanny would be kind, patient and resilient. A nanny that is also friendly, happy and interested to actively engage in indoor and outdoor activities with the children and be a positive role model. A nanny who is able to manage and be be supportive of children’s behaviour especially on the days when the the littlest is having trouble regulating emotions. The family is looking for someone who is organised, trustworthy, responsible and reliable and is able to follow the children’s routines.

Job Responsibility

To care for the children
Follow the children’s routine
Drop off /pick up from school
Home work assistance
Play and engage with the children in the mornings and afternoons
Lighthouse hold duties ie general tidying up after meals or activities
Preparation of snacks and some assistance with simple Dinner preparation if circumstances allow

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
Experience with ADHD would be ideal but not necessary
Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
Have a current Working With Children’s Check
Display strong communication skills and speaks English
Non smoking
Full drivers license, clean driving record and own car (Kms and petrol to be reimbursed)
