We are hiring for the role of ‘NAM Head –Fixed Income Trade Processing Technology’. This role is based right in the heart of the financial district in New York. It is a senior technical hands-on leadership level position responsible for the overall success of Engineering teams delivering to critical business initiatives and regulatory mandates. The Fixed Income Trade Processing team is a dynamic and high-performing division of Citi’s Markets technology. The global team has members in major cities in NY/NJ, Canada, UK and India. We work on business critical high availability application solutions across 80+ countries. Our applications are considered amongst the best-in-class within the industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and build out a high-performing team in North America, building out capacity for locally driven delivery where appropriate
  • Leveraging the local resource pool for effective delivery, ensuring focus and resourcing against key initiatives
  • Overseeing delivery of sub-teams focused on unified platform buildout, Electronic Trading STP, trade capture and enrichment, regulatory reporting and downstream flows
  • Working directly with Trading, Sales front office and middle offices users across Rates, Spread Products and Markets Treasury businesses to understand their key priorities
  • Partnering with global development, QA and support teams for effective delivery to business
  • Enabling a strong level of third line application support in the region
  • Building a broad-based understanding across the full application suite
  • Utilizing creativity and innovation to improve the technical capabilities of the platform and ensuring it remains stable, flexible and maintainable
  • Partner with senior technology partners around the globe

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in an Engineering role with extensive experience in software delivery as well as test automation
  • Full stack Java development required
  • Proven leadership and team management skills and experience (7+ years)
  • Proven ability to face off to business stakeholders in frequent and professional manner (traders, sales, MO, desk-heads)
  • Strong track record of timely and disciplined project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, retain and promote talent within team
  • A solid architectural understanding of enterprise applications
  • Experience with modern software development practices such as Agile development, test-driven development, and continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Understanding of computing science fundamentals – concurrency, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, etc.
  • Good knowledge of major Fixed Income Products (e.g. Bonds/Swaps/Futures) and Broker/Customer Markets electronic trading flows
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • ability to face off to business users
  • Good team-work skills, and the ability to work in a distributed global team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the determination to learn and achieve his/her goals
