MWS Product Engineer

Job Description

The Product Engineer assists in the development and implementation of clear, complete, and accurate hardware machines as well as plans and details drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes for engineering or manufacturing purposes, according to specified dimensions, using a computer and specially designed software. This role is in support of Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform essential product design modifications
  • Perform testing of hardware and devices
  • Develop essential detail and assembly drawings for products and equipment
  • Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products
  • Create 3-D models from 2-D drawings
  • Work with 3-D printers
  • Work with Product Managers to innovate better solutions
  • Ability to perform mechanical design calculations
  • Test prototypes and standard products and write reports to document the results
  • Help create training documents around products and new designs via documentation and video
  • Implement Quality Control program for Animal Production Operations
  • Write and publish quality control documents for testing protocols on built subassemblies and perform testing
  • Document found issues and work with Production Technicians to capture and correct any deficiencies
  • Provide quality metrics to Operations Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree required
  • Ability to work with multiple functions to coordinate the flow of information
