Job Description:

MV Connection Engineer position in METLEN Energy & Metals' M Renewables team in Milan, responsible for managing grid connection processes for renewable energy projects

Job Responsibility:

  • Follow-up the connection process with grid operators
  • Supervise the grid connection process providing technical advice and strategic direction to the Development Team
  • Support the preparation of tender processes for the grid interconnection works
  • Develop effective relationships with potential contractors, suppliers, consultants
  • Qualification of contractors, suppliers, consultants
  • Evaluation of offers and follow-up in the tendering process
  • Support for the preparation of contracts
  • Functional coordination with internal departments
  • Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies to optimize grid connection solutions
  • Estimate costs and schedule activities of grid interconnections works
  • Review of Quality Control Plan and Inspection Points Program
  • Perform site surveys and Audits during construction
  • Management and supervision of Engineering and Construction of Grid Connection Works
  • Participation in relevant phases of Commissioning

Requirements:

  • BSc/MEng.
  • Civil and/or Electrical Engineering background is considered an advantage
  • Track record (minimum 3 years) in the project management of grid works
  • Fluency in Italian & English
  • Knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical & Civil Engineering is considered an advantage
  • Track record in the construction of HV substation is considered an advantage
  • Track record in the construction of grid works with E-distribuzione is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Italian Grid Connection Process (and the TICA) is considered an advantage
  • Experience in the construction of renewables plants (solar, wind & batteries) is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD
  • Working experience in Italy
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
