Job Description:

Supports the day-to-day financial and compliance operations of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, Local Government Investment Pools (LGIPs), and/or business development company clients. Serves as a primary point of contact for assigned fund clients and coordinates activities and communications among key fund service providers, including the investment advisor, custodian, transfer agent, fund accountant, attorneys, and auditors.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage daily operational and compliance activities for assigned funds, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Act as the main liaison for fund clients by coordinating communications and deliverables across internal teams and external service providers
  • Monitor and review fund budgets in alignment with contractual agreements, fee proposals, and expense trends
  • Assist in the preparation and/or review of financial statements for client shareholders, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other applicable reporting standards
  • Conduct or support portfolio compliance testing and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and prospectus guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • One to two years of related work experience
  • Some knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect the mutual fund industry and their clients
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
