Job Description:

Join Blue Ridge Care as a Hospice Music Therapist. Step into a rewarding role where your music helps ease suffering and create meaningful moments of connection for patients and their families. At Blue Ridge Care, we deliver extraordinary care to improve life’s journey. As a mission-driven, not-for-profit healthcare system, we provide integrated services in hospice, serious illness care, the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), community thrift shops, and grief support. You will collaborate closely with the hospice care team and provide services in patient homes, inpatient units, and alternative care settings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in agency committees, quality improvement initiatives, and in-service education
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to patient, family, and colleague needs in a home care environment
  • Uphold the mission, values, and philosophy of Blue Ridge Care

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Registered and Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) through the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA)
  • Experience working with terminally ill patients preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
