Job Description

Justteachers are seeking a passionate and inspiring Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Thetford. This full‑time role is due to start after May half term and will run until the end of the academic year. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering a love of music and supporting pupils in developing their musical skills and confidence. The school is well‑resourced, has a supportive leadership team, and prides itself on its strong community ethos.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and inclusive Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach a range of musical skills including singing, rhythm, composition, and instrumental work
  • Prepare pupils for performances, assemblies, and school events
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Music within a primary or secondary setting
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to inspire creativity and confidence in pupils
  • Two references within the last two years from a related field
