Job Description:

Responsible for the direct care and management of 18-36 dogs. Provides safe and informative dog sled rides and presents numerous 20-to-30-minute presentations on dog sledding to guests daily. In all tasks, position is responsible for adhering to the company’s policy regarding the treatment of its animals.

Job Responsibility:

Direct care and management of 18-36 dogs
Provide safe and informative dog sled rides
Present 20-to-30-minute presentations on dog sledding to guests daily
Adhere to company policy regarding treatment of animals
Ensure guest satisfaction and safety
Monitor safety of guests and dogs
Report dog health issues to management
Provide general dog care (feeding, watering, brushing, cleaning)
Perform camp chores (cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, filling potholes, stocking refreshments, chopping wood, washing equipment)
Assist guests into and out of vehicles
Prepare sled for guests
Take pictures of guests
Safely hook up dogs, pairing compatible animals
End-of-day tasks (unhooking dogs, returning to houses, hanging harnesses, rinsing equipment)
Inspect dog houses & tethers and replace damaged equipment

Requirements:

Certified or able to get certified in First Aid/CPR
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Legally eligible to work in the US
