Job Description:

Responsible for the direct care and management of 18-36 dogs. Provides safe and informative dog sled rides and presents numerous 20-to-30-minute presentations on dog sledding to guests daily. In all tasks, position is responsible for adhering to the company’s policy regarding the treatment of its animals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide general dog care (feeding, watering, brushing, cleaning)
  • Perform chores (cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, filling potholes, stocking refreshments, chopping wood, washing carts & vans)
  • Assist guests into and out of vehicles
  • Prepare sled for guests
  • Take pictures of guests
  • Safely hook up dogs, avoiding conflicts
  • End-of-day tasks (unhooking dogs, returning to houses, hanging harnesses, rinsing equipment)
  • Inspect dog houses & tethers and replace damaged equipment

Requirements:

  • Certified or able to get certified in First Aid/CPR
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Legally eligible to work in the US
  • 21 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license
