Job Description:

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a part time position with ASM Global at the Boeing Center at Tech Port. Under the supervision of the LAN Gaming Manager and Port San Antonio representatives, the museum exhibit guide will be a front-line ambassador for representing Boeing & ASM Global as a tour guide for the Boeing Exhibit within the San Antonio Museum for Science and Technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct facility tours for clients, students, and prospective partners daily
  • Works with staff to develop and maintain a service-oriented attitude
  • Maintain processes and policies for exhibit operations
  • Showcase technical proficiency with sponsored exhibit experiences
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and log any flight sim issues
  • Management of all operational equipment related to sponsored exhibit
  • Effectively communicate the story of the exhibit within the overall message of Area 21
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • One year of museum exhibit experience
  • Basic knowledge of aerospace and airplanes preferred
  • Intermediate level of understanding computers, simulators, and related IT equipment
  • Experience with customer service and guest relations
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively and professionally under pressure while sustaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while prioritizing multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work well with educators, business leaders, students and guests of all ages
  • Strategic and critical thinker who is dynamic, forward-thinking, analytical, and extremely well organized
