Job Description:

Avela is seeking a Municipal Partnerships Manager to enhance its business outreach with municipalities across the U.S., focusing on educational programs and community solutions. Avela is a Nobel Prize-winning, venture backed, seed-stage edtech/govtech startup focused on increasing access to high quality education with the first common application system for PK-12.

Job Responsibility:

  • Generate demand and build pipeline
  • Manage sales processes
  • Engage with municipal leaders and understand client needs
  • Work with Go to Market team to grow business among municipalities
  • Sell across all use cases, with a particular focus on coordinated early childhood programs and community hub solution
  • Be a full stack sales executive responsible for all stages of the sales process: Understanding Avela, Building pipeline, Working the deal, Closing the deal, Handing off the customer

Requirements:

  • Based in San Francisco Bay Area or Greater Boston
  • 6+ years of full time professional experience
  • 3+ years in city, county, or state administration role, preferably who has managed large-scale coordinated enrollment programs
  • Passion for education, equity, or social impact
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive, extraordinary comfort with ambiguity
  • Excellent communicator, including written and oral
  • Among the best at what you do with a growth mindset and desire to constantly improve
  • Legal ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship
