Job Description:

Houston Engineering, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Municipal Engineer to support a variety of public infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career while contributing to the planning, design, and maintenance of essential city systems such as roads, stormwater, water supply, and public facilities. As a Municipal Engineer, you’ll work on a wide range of projects and the days are never the same!

Job Responsibility:

  • Completing designs using CADD modeling software
  • Preparing spreadsheets and construction plans and specifications
  • Completing site development designs
  • Performing construction cost estimating, construction observation, and facility inspection for a variety of civil engineering projects
  • Digital design of storm, sanitary, and water utilities in additional to street and site plan development
  • Prepare studies, reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for civil and municipal water infrastructure projects
  • Complete engineering analysis and calculations
  • Observe and document construction projects
  • Coordinate planning, design, and construction with clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit
  • Aspirations to obtain PE licensure
  • Must be detail orientated, and self-motivated
  • Valid driver's license required with good driving record
  • Utilize effective written and oral communication skills to coordinate and collaborate with coworkers, contractors, and the community
