Job Responsibility:

  • Strip and rebuild vehicles in accordance with repair estimates and company procedures
  • Ensure quality checks are completed and advise the manager of any additional work identified
  • Ensure all jobs are completed within estimated times, and all parts are ordered and returned as required
  • Adhere to housekeeping, health, and safety regulations
  • Dismantle and repair damaged panels or replace panels that are beyond repair, including chassis and structural components
  • Operate all equipment, including jigs, fixtures, and welding tools, safely and according to prescribed methods
  • Follow manufacturer literature, technical bulletins, and attend training
  • Handle all vehicles with care, maintain tools and equipment in a clean and safe condition
  • Understand spray-painting technology, paint composition, mixing, and application methods
  • Prepare vehicles for painting (masking, sanding, priming) and achieve the required finish/colour match
  • Use prescribed safety apparatus and attend company-arranged medicals
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and team leaders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in vehicle repair across one or more disciplines: MET, Panel, or Paint
  • Knowledge of repair methods, manufacturer specifications, and technical bulletins
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team
  • Awareness of health, safety, and COSHH regulations in a workshop environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience is essential
