Job Description:

Are you a highly skilled Engineer looking for a stable, days-only role with a leading food manufacturer? We are an established, people-focused business recently recognized for our commitment to staff development. We are looking for two proactive engineers to join our close-knit maintenance team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for maintaining a wide array of specialized milling and packing equipment. We are a business that values a "Can-Do" attitude and a collaborative "We Before I" approach.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Deliver periodic and condition-based PPMs for all electro-mechanical plant equipment
  • Reactive Repair: Provide 1st-level service and repair, diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime
  • Fabrication: Utilize lathes, mills, and welding equipment to fabricate spare parts in-house
  • Continuous Improvement: Partner with Operations to design and deliver machinery improvements
  • Documentation: Use CMMS systems to maintain accurate maintenance records and manage on-site contractors

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering
  • Strong ability to read both electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
  • Familiarity with Motion Control, Hydraulics, and Pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work comfortably at heights and in confined spaces
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable

Nice to have:

Understanding of PLC programming logic is a distinct advantage
