The Multiskilled Flexibles Operator is responsible for operating the sachets filling line (1:4 man-to-machine ratio) and deliver the required output within the set safety and quality standards. S/he can perform troubleshooting, maintenance, improvements in the assigned machines to ensure they are kept at optimum condition. S/he is responsible for learning and developing his/her expertise in UMS methods & tools, knowledge of standards, technical/professional skills, and digital capabilities.
Job Responsibility
Follow all safety and quality policies and procedures according to the existing guidelines
Wear / Use prescribed PPEs
Follow standards on personal hygiene
Use LOTO during troubleshooting and CILT
Ensure that machine guarding is in place before and during production
Use proper tools and equipment during troubleshooting and autonomous maintenance activities
Follow prescribed work procedures and company safety rules and regulations
Operate machinery safely and effectively in order to meet the production plan
Conducts CRQS as per SOP
Conduct troubleshooting of the line
Conducts line clearance and other change-over preparations
Fills in production checklists properly and timely
Responsible for checking production quality during production
Supports the Technical Engineering Operator in machine conversion from one SKU to another and vice versa with in standard time
Supports the technicians in the analysis and improvement of frequent breakdowns of mechanical components for the flexibles machines
Assist in performing audits to ensure compliance on Machinery Safety and related standards
Perform changeover, CIP, and COP of the flexibles machines
Relieves in other flexibles machine operators when needed
Coordinate with Engineering support team during breakdown
Accomplish OEE forms
Perform routine activities such as operation, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and autonomous maintenance of flexibles machines and ensures that machines are available for production
Perform autonomous maintenance task based on the calendar given by the Preventive Maintenance Scheduler
Participates in the EWO (emergency work order) filling up and execution of actions that relates to prevent any similar breakdown
Understands the R2S methodology and his/her interaction with PM/PD/FI pillar
Knows how to apply the methodologies of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) on his/her assigned machines
Able to UMS problem solving tools
Complies to the company COBP, CR&R
Complies to the SHE rules of the plant
Complies to the GMP and GHK rules of the plant
Participates in Focused Improvement activities
Executes agreed Focused Improvement actions
Raises improvement activities (OFI) and OPL
Able to operate simple gadgets such as smart phone and iPad
Able to use Unilever digital tools and platforms
Participates in trainings and company events
Any other tasks related to his/her core job as may be required by his/her Line Manager
Requirements
Graduate of a technical course related to Manufacturing course or graduate of a TESDA course
Full knowledge of hazards within the workplace
Utilize appropriate safety and environmental procedure for people, process, materials, and equipment relevant to task
Must be a responsible, supportive, and reliable leader and must be a good team member capable of working within the highly effective team
Can adequately communicate issues relating to safety and quality and can provide operational observations and inputs to support decision making by operators, Cell Lead, First Line Manager / Process Engineer, and Production Manager
A working knowledge on how to identify, prioritize, and address problems using appropriate tools and techniques that eliminate recurrence
Must demonstrate initiative in improving the productivity / efficiency of flexibles machines
