Job Responsibility

  • Carry out mechanical, electrical and pneumatic maintenance, fault‑finding and repairs across a range of production machinery
  • Provide day‑to‑day engineering support across site, ensuring equipment and processes run safely and reliably
  • Complete planned maintenance, routine checks and basic site upkeep, with specialist work passed to contractors when needed
  • Respond confidently to issues during the day shift, using sound judgement to keep production moving
  • Work closely with the engineering team to maintain a safe, organised and efficient operation

Requirements

  • A multiskilled engineer with a mechanical/electrical background
  • A recognized engineering qualification such as NVQ, BTEC or C&G
  • A time-served engineer able to work alone at times
  • A steady, reliable person with good judgement, problem‑solving ability and the maturity to work without constant supervision
  • Experience in manufacturing, processing or heavy industry is ideal
