The Multilingual Case Specialist (Pashto/Dari/Farsi) plays a vital role in delivering direct services to clients from Afghan and other Farsi-speaking communities. This position provides comprehensive case management, resource coordination, and advocacy support to help clients achieve stability and self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate is culturally competent, compassionate, highly organized, and experienced in social services or nonprofit case management.
Job Responsibility:
Provide direct case management services to clients in Pashto, Dari, and/or Farsi
Conduct intake assessments to evaluate client needs and develop individualized service plans
Assist clients with accessing public benefits, housing resources, healthcare, employment services, and educational programs
Serve as a liaison between clients and external service providers, government agencies, and community partners
Maintain accurate, confidential case notes and documentation in accordance with organizational and funding requirements
Support crisis intervention and provide appropriate referrals when needed
Facilitate workshops, orientations, or community outreach efforts as assigned
Ensure culturally sensitive and trauma-informed service delivery
Track outcomes and contribute to required reporting and data collection
Requirements:
Fluency in English and at least one of the following: Pashto, Dari, or Farsi (fluency in all three strongly preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
1–3+ years of experience in case management, social services, refugee resettlement, or nonprofit settings
Strong knowledge of community resources and public assistance programs
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management databases
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and serving diverse communities
Nice to have:
Experience working with refugee, asylum-seeking, or immigrant populations
Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
Familiarity with housing programs, workforce development, or benefits navigation
