Job Description:

Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to work across our Children's Homes in the Manchester and surrounding area. You will be working across our Registered Children's Homes in the Manchester, Burnley, Salford, Preston and Liverpool area. The role will involve plastering, plumbing, electrics, carpentry/joinery and some painting/decorating.

Job Responsibility:

  • Completing planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment and building tasks to the homes ensuring high quality workmanship and finish at all times
  • Utilising established trade skills in property maintenance/construction
  • Work independently or part of a team
  • Deliver a high quality of work and finish
  • Ensuring that HC&EG has a safe and efficient working environment and infrastructure for its employees and their activities

Requirements:

  • Qualifications equivalent to a minimum of level 2 in relevant trade and/or equivalent experience
  • Health & Safety awareness, and safe working
  • Willing to travel to multiple sites in designated area given
  • Open to working early or late shifts as required
  • Flexible and open approach to the role

  • Maintain impress van stock of materials including recording usage on handheld device
  • Use the delivery service” assigned to you, to replenish your impressed stock, while minimising travel and downtime
