Previous experience in a nursing home, healthcare, hospitality, catering, housekeeping, or laundry environment is desirable but not essential
A genuine passion for supporting older people and contributing to their quality of life
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent teamwork skills
Good awareness of health, safety, hygiene, and infection prevention practices

Job Responsibility

Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
Support the Catering Supervisor/Cook in maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
Ensure food storage and handling procedures comply with regulations and best practice
Assist with kitchen cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment
Support the delivery of balanced meals that meet residents' nutritional needs
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursing home
Carry out cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, polishing, mopping, and sanitising
Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and dining rooms are welcoming and well maintained
Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures at all times
Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly
