Requirements

City & Guilds Craft Certificate / ONC or equivalent technical qualification
Recognised electrical apprenticeship
IEE 18th Edition certification
Minimum two years' post‑apprenticeship experience in a similar building services environment
C&G 2391 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
Strong understanding of building services systems and maintenance practices
Ability to pass full intrusive security vetting (mandatory)

Job Responsibility

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical and mechanical building services equipment
Diagnose faults using technical manuals, drawings, and diagnostic tools to restore systems efficiently
Support critical building systems including power distribution, lighting, motor controls, standby generators, and fire alarm/PA systems
Conduct inspections, identify defects or warning indicators, and take corrective action to prevent system failures
Work collaboratively within a balanced shift team to provide 24/7 coverage and maintain service continuity across the estate

Requirements

Level 3 or Equivalent Electrical Qualifications
Proven experience working in a critical/data centre environment
Experience with HV/LV equipment (HV/LV AP is beneficial)

Job Responsibility

Conduct work that provides a multi-skilled maintenance service to Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), covering electrical and mechanical disciplines
Provide a reactive and pro-active maintenance service as per project requirements to operational equipment across site
Ensure all Critical assets are in full working order, achieving relevant KPIs
Provide technical support to the onsite engineers
Be responsible for allocated PPM and Reactive completion in a safe and timely manner
Support the Shift Rota duties in the event of sickness, absence, training or annual leave as and when necessary

Job Responsibility

Responsible to a Shift Leader for undertaking electrical/mechanical works on a wide range of building services reactive and planned maintenance throughout the London Estate
The work is undertaken on a shift basis to ensure 24‑hour cover for the London Estate
All shift teams to be complementary with balance of electrical and mechanical support across the sites
High standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance
Able to use diagnostic equipment and work from technical manuals and drawings
Able to identify visual plant defects, warning lights and indicators
Comprehensive understanding of building services and proficient in maintenance of: Power, distribution and switching
Motors controls
Lighting systems
Standby generators
