Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Plumber / Multi Trader to join a maintenance team working within occupied social housing properties in Lower Clapton, London. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong plumbing background who is also confident carrying out a range of multi-trade maintenance tasks. The position is site-based, offering consistent long-term work with the opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carrying out day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance within occupied social housing properties
  • Completing plumbing repairs and installations including leaks, pipework, taps, toilets, and general bathroom maintenance
  • Undertaking minor electrical work, including basic fault finding and replacing fittings
  • Performing carpentry repairs, including doors, locks, skirting boards, and kitchen unit adjustments
  • Completing general multi-trade tasks, such as basic plastering, patch repairs, and painting
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Working closely with the maintenance team while also managing jobs independently when required

Requirements:

  • Strong plumbing background (essential)
  • Proven experience working in social housing or reactive maintenance environments
  • Experience in multi-trade work, including carpentry, basic electrics, plastering, and decorating
  • Ability to diagnose faults and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
  • Good communication and customer service skills when working in occupied properties
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant trade qualifications preferred but not essential for candidates with strong experience
