We are on the lookout for a reliable Multi Skilled Logistics Operative to join our busy distribution team at Isleport, Somerset. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving warehouse environment and has solid hands-on experience operating Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
Job Responsibility:
Demonstrating a commitment to Health & Safety by working in a safe manner, role modelling our safety behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions and escalating to other team members when support is needed
Active involvement, commitment and governance of the quality management system, making sure all relevant controls and procedures are completed effectively to validate food safety controls and the products we make exceed customer and consumer expectations
Understand, adhere to and lead good manufacturing practices and company standards of hygiene, PPE, and dress code
Effective operation and optimisation of equipment and priorities to meet the production demand and delivery of the highest quality of products
Through the ownership of performance and yield in your area/asset you will optimise running conditions and actively participate in improvement activities that ensure effective use of resources
Ownership of the changeover activities and material replenishment in your area/asset, optimising resources and raw material yields
Analysis and interpretation of operational machine parameters to support your effective decision making and drive improvements
Ensuring the accurate and timely recording of downtime and raw material usage in an area
Undertaking basic fault finding and rectification on equipment and actively support the identification of root cause when escalating to the wider support team when required
Ensuring all equipment is properly cared for by the completion of effective cleaning and basic maintenance tasks
Making decisions to support improvement to the area KPIs and makes recommendations for the continual improvement to equipment or processes with the Lead Operator or Line Manager
Energising the team and demonstrates a consistently enthusiastic approach, taking action quickly and encouraging others to do the same
