A leading organisation in the facilities management and property maintenance sector is looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join its growing team in Lyneham Wiltshire. This permanent position offers the opportunity to carry out essential maintenance and repairs across a residential property portfolio, providing a vital service while developing your skills within a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Job Responsibility
Carry out planned and reactive repairs across a range of trades including plumbing, plastering, minor building works, tiling, decorating, drainage, grounds maintenance and general property repairs
Deliver a high-quality 'Right First Time' service, identifying the best repair solutions while working independently
Use your technical expertise to support colleagues and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Accurately record completed work, materials used and job updates using electronic and paper-based systems
Build positive relationships with residents, clients, suppliers and colleagues, delivering exceptional customer service at every opportunity
Participate in a 1 in 8 on-call rota, including Saturday mornings (8:00am–12:30pm), to provide out-of-hours emergency maintenance support
Maintain high standards of health and safety while working across multiple sites within the region.
Requirements
Proven experience in multi-trade property maintenance, ideally with plumbing as your core trade
Good all-round trade skills, including plastering, plumbing, decorating and general building maintenance
Experience working within domestic housing, social housing or facilities management environments
A full UK driving licence
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload
A customer-focused attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility and reliability to adapt to changing priorities and participate in the on-call rota
Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
