Are you ready to expand your skills in a fast-paced environment? A leading company in the Facilities Management sector is looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer in West Yorkshire to tackle unique challenges and enhance property maintenance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute diverse repair and maintenance tasks efficiently across various trades
  • Ensure timely completion of repair appointments with a focus on first-time resolutions
  • Maintain the condition and safe use of company tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Diagnose issues and organize necessary materials for swift resolutions
  • Minimize customer disruption during maintenance activities while ensuring high standards

Requirements:

  • Qualified in NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade such as plumbing or joinery
  • Valid CSCS card and full driving license are mandatory
  • Experience in social housing repairs, voids, and maintenance
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations in construction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team

  • Ensure the Engineering maintenance carried out in line with the current schedule and effective and efficient corrective action is taken
  • Quick and effective response to breakdowns, where possible identifying root cause and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns occurring
  • Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to Management and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption
  • Record and identify spare parts that have been used through CMMS and to Engineering Manager
  • Follow good engineering standards and good hygiene practice for the department across the whole site
  • Ensure Maintenance and Engineering practices are audit complaint
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety and environmental guidelines reporting any issues
  • Ensure compliance through regular process weigher and Liquid meter calibrations (weights and measures Act)
  • Proficient in engineering operations whilst working in hazardous environments (Confined Space Entry, Hot working in confined spaces, Hot working, WAH)
