Job Description

This Multi-Skilled Engineer role exists to support day-to-day site operations and maintain reliable performance of plant and equipment. You’ll be part of a small, established engineering function where the focus is on keeping things running properly rather than firefighting constant change. It suits an electrically biased engineer who wants a steady, long-term role with clear expectations, predictable shifts, and the trust to get on with the job.

Job Responsibility

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs
  • Completing planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Identifying repeat issues and implementing practical fixes
  • Working safely and in line with engineering and site standards

Requirements

  • Recognised engineering qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an engineer
  • Electrical bias with strong fault-finding capability
  • Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern

  • Carry out inspections, testing, and repairs to ensure that all systems and equipment are functioning effectively and meet safety standards
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and conduct necessary repairs or improvements
  • Keep accurate records of all work completed, including reports, maintenance logs, and parts usage
  • Liaise with on-site teams and clients to communicate maintenance schedules and progress
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, carrying out risk assessments as required
  • Assisting the facilities team with the control of contractor's process (all details provided by site lead), inclusive of ensuring contractors are signed in and out correctly and that everyone is adhering to site policies and rules
