This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of systems, where your expertise will contribute to pioneering scientific advancements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and repair a variety of electrical systems on-site
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure operational efficiency
  • Support the implementation of preventative maintenance schedules
  • Respond to emergency call-outs on a 1 in 7 basis to ensure ongoing service
  • Contribute to improving site processes and safety measures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to Management and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption
  • Record and identify spare parts that have been used through CMMS and to Engineering Manager
  • Follow good engineering standards and good hygiene practice for the department across the whole site
  • Ensure Maintenance and Engineering practices are audit complaint
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety and environmental guidelines reporting any issues
  • Ensure compliance through regular process weigher and Liquid meter calibrations (weights and measures Act)
  • Proficient in engineering operations whilst working in hazardous environments (Confined Space Entry, Hot working in confined spaces, Hot working, WAH)
