Job Description:

This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business. Job Purpose: To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of Pharmaceuticals to the customer within the corporate guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users
  • To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc
  • To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays
  • To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle
  • To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work
  • To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times
  • To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle
  • To collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management
  • Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for Hazchem's
  • To maintain a smart appearance at all times
  • To help maintain good customer relations
  • To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management
  • Meet all Health & Safety requirements

Requirements:

  • A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven (with no more than 3 points)
  • For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age
  • Existing employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Customer care
  • Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
  • Route planning experience
