Job Description

We are seeking a MuleSoft Application Support Engineer – L3 with 4–8 years of experience to provide advanced production support and development-level expertise for MuleSoft-based integration platforms in a banking environment. The L3 engineer will act as the final escalation point, handling complex incidents, root cause analysis, and enhancement requirements, with strong MuleSoft and IDP development knowledge.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the L3 escalation point for complex MuleSoft production issues
  • Perform deep root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to: Mule flows and orchestration, DataWeave transformations, API performance and scalability, JVM, memory, and threading issues
  • Guide and mentor L1/L2 teams during critical incidents
  • Perform code-level fixes and enhancements in MuleSoft applications
  • Design and develop: Mule 4 flows and subflows, DataWeave scripts, Error handling and retry mechanisms
  • Support enhancement requests, change requirements, and continuous improvements
  • Participate in design reviews and impact analysis
  • Provide advanced support and enhancement for MuleSoft Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IDP issues such as: OCR accuracy problems, Classification and extraction model failures, Performance and scalability challenges
  • Enhance and tune IDP workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Support integration of IDP with downstream banking systems
  • Guide L1/L2 teams on IDP-related incidents
  • Manage deployments on CloudHub / Runtime Fabric / On-Prem Mule runtimes
  • Configure API Manager policies and security (OAuth, JWT, TLS)
  • Support integrations for core banking, payments, AML/KYC, and other banking systems
  • Ensure adherence to banking security, compliance, and audit standards
  • Participate in release management, DR drills, and production readiness reviews
  • Own problem management and preventive actions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call and rotational support
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and vendor teams

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of IT experience with strong MuleSoft L3 support and development expertise
  • Deep hands-on experience with Mule 4 and DataWeave 2.x
  • Strong experience with MuleSoft Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
  • Expertise in REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns
  • Experience with performance tuning, log analysis, and troubleshooting production issues
  • Good understanding of Linux/Unix, networking, and JVM concepts
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle P1/P2 incidents in high-pressure environments
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers
  • This role requires readiness to provide 24x7 production support from the Noida ODC
  • Support will be rotational, including weekends, based on operational needs
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and provide on-call support is mandatory
