Job Description:

Piper Companies is seeking a MuleSoft API Developer to join a leading credit union based in Hauppauge, NY. The MuleSoft API Developer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and managing API integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to support the client’s Teachers API platform.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement API integrations and enhancements using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Develop scalable, secure APIs aligned with organizational goals and best practices
  • Oversee API platform operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Collaborate with IT, business units, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage vendor relationships and handle escalations related to API services
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and integration strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of hands-on MuleSoft experience (API management, integration development, deployment)
  • Strong knowledge of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Manager, Monitoring, and DataWeave
  • Proficient in REST, SOAP, and web service integration protocols
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4)
  • MuleSoft Certified Architect – Level 1 or higher
  • Additional certifications in API management or cloud computing are a plus
