Job Description:

We are supporting one of our Local Authority clients to recruit to the position of MTFS/P Accountant. This Council is looking for someone who is experienced (preferably having a city, county, or London background) and pragmatic in the coordination and production of the MTFS/P, and is knowledgeable on the same for the capital strategy. You will report to the Head of Finance (Ealing refer to HoF as Finance Managers) who leads on all corporate aspects of financial strategy, within a team of 6 (no direct line management).

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate and produce the MTFS/P
  • Provide high‑quality financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership and members
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data and forecasts
  • Contribute to statutory reporting requirements and year‑end processes

Requirements:

  • Experienced (preferably having a city, county, or London background) and pragmatic in the coordination and production of the MTFS/P
  • Knowledgeable on the same for the capital strategy
  • Excellent excel/financial tools skills, particularly for financially modelling
  • Good experience of local government funding, particularly in more recent times with the impact of fair funding 2.0
